The Undying DM Play on TwitchPlay

How to Play

No dice, no rulebook, no installation and no site account. Open Twitch chat, send one of the controls below, and your voice joins everyone else inside Kessen.

Open the stream

Go to the live channel. You will see a 2D world and one character in it: Kessen the Divided. He is the only hero, and the entire chat plays him at once.

Move him

Type up, down, left or right. The engine gathers a brief input window. Each viewer's latest direction counts once, so repeating a command adds no weight; the most-supported direction wins, and the newest voice breaks a tie.

Interact

use activates whatever is in front of him — a door, a lever, a chest. search investigates the room for what is not obvious.

Vote when choices appear

When Xarnak displays numbered options, type the number of your choice — 1, 2, 3… You can change your mind while the ballot remains open; your latest vote counts.

Propose the next decision

Type !vote to ask for a collective choice, or !action burn the bridge to include an idea. The request threshold adapts to the active crowd, then Xarnak turns the suggestions into options.

Leave a mark

What the crowd does is remembered: the Hall of Legends keeps the moments worth replaying, and the trophies are unlocked collectively.

What to type

Type thisWhat it does
up down left rightMove Kessen. WASD, ZQSD, arrow symbols and French directions are accepted aliases.
useUse what is in front of Kessen — door, lever, chest. e also works.
searchSearch the room. f also works.

!voteAsk the room to open a collective decision.
!action your ideaRequest a vote and suggest an action for its options.

Current behaviour: ordinary chat remains conversation and does not directly control Kessen. Use one of the controls above when you want to act.

How the live game works

Everyone plays, at once

No slots, no queue, no sign-up. Whether one viewer is present or hundreds join in, everyone drives the same character — the difference is only how much the room agrees.

The adventure is generated

The current map, encounters and quests are generated live from what the chat just did, inside the persistent canon of Vaelis. There is no adventure script to spoil.

Failure has a cost

Rolls are real and resolved by 5e rules — the DM never fudges a number. Kessen can fall and the run can end at a refuge, but the crowd's hero is never deleted permanently.
