Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026. This notice describes the public, crowd-controlled game; no player portal account is required.
Who is responsible
The data controller is The Undying DM. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent through contact@theundyingdm.com.
When you browse the website
We may receive ordinary technical request data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser information and server error or security logs. The public site does not use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.
When you participate through Twitch
- The Twitch identity attached to the public chat event, such as user ID, username and display name.
- The public message, command, movement input or vote you send, together with its timestamp.
- Related public channel events supplied to the game's bots, such as raids, follows or subscriptions.
- Game and moderation records derived from those interactions, including collective progress and achievements.
Why and how we use it
We process commands and votes to provide the interaction you request. We rely on our legitimate interests to secure and troubleshoot the service, prevent abuse, moderate public participation and preserve an accurate collective game record. Where consent is required for a future optional feature, it will be requested separately.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal data, run advertising profiles or use third-party behavioural trackers on this website.
Public broadcast
Twitch chat messages and their consequences may appear live in the stream, VODs, clips, the Chronicle, the Hall of Legends or community posts. Removing a record we control may not remove copies already retained by Twitch, viewers or other third parties.
Retention
Real-time aggregation data is needed only to resolve the current interaction. Security, error and moderation records are retained while they remain necessary to investigate incidents and protect the community. Canonical game events may be kept for the life of the project because they form the Chronicle and collective progression. Backups expire through their normal rotation. A legal obligation or an active dispute may require a longer period.
Recipients and third parties
Authorised project operators and infrastructure providers may process data only as needed to run the service. Twitch and Discord process information under their own privacy policies; opening or participating through them may involve transfers outside your country under their own safeguards.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, and ask for data you supplied in a portable form. Send a request through contact@theundyingdm.com; we may need enough information to verify that the Twitch identity is yours. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL or your local supervisory authority.
