Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 August 2026. These terms govern access to and participation in The Undying DM.

1. Acceptance

By browsing The Undying DM website or sending actions, votes or messages that the live game processes (the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who can participate

Browsing the website does not require an account. Participating through Twitch requires a Twitch account, and you must meet Twitch's own Terms of Service and age requirements.

3. How participation works

The Twitch chat collectively controls one character, Kessen. Your latest command may be grouped with other inputs, selected as the most-supported command or included in a vote; sending an action does not guarantee that the game will execute it.

4. Acceptable use

Do not harass other viewers, evade moderation, disrupt the stream, attempt to break or overload the Service, submit unlawful content or use automated input in a way that gives one viewer an unfair weight in the crowd.

5. Messages and contributions

Your Twitch messages remain yours. By sending an action, vote or other contribution to the live game, you allow us to process, display, broadcast, store and quote it as reasonably needed to run the game, moderation, Chronicle, achievements, clips and related community features.

6. AI-generated content

The adventure and narration are generated live and may be unpredictable. We moderate inputs and operate safeguards, but cannot promise that every generated output will be accurate, suitable or continuously available.

7. Third-party services

Twitch, Discord and other linked platforms are independent services governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or their handling of your account.

8. Availability and liability

The Service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of uptime, saved progress or continued availability. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from its use.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the game evolves. The date above identifies the current version.

10. Rules attribution

This work includes material taken from the System Reference Document 5.1 (“SRD 5.1”) by Wizards of the Coast LLC and available at dnd.wizards.com/resources/systems-reference-document. The SRD 5.1 is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. The Undying DM is an independent, 5E-compatible project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast.

11. Font attribution

The self-hosted EB Garamond, Cinzel and Cinzel Decorative font files are redistributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Their complete copyright notices and license accompany the files in our font license notice.
